I wanted to rethink executive search.
Twenty years ago, I was an executive myself and knew how hard it is to find the right candidates. I waited forever for dossiers that didn’t fit. I waited for calls that never came back. And not only as a client; as a candidate I was often frustrated too.
That’s when I knew it couldn’t go on like this.
I wanted a firm that understands both sides. That thinks like an entrepreneur, acts fast, communicates honestly and takes the long view. One with direct access to the best, the top talent, rather than one that simply sends out profiles.
So 20 years ago today, I founded TALENTspy.
Not in a smart office, but in a basement. With a clear goal: to do it better. For our clients. For the candidates. For the market.
A lot has happened in those 20 years. We’ve grown and placed countless senior executives, above all in the DACH region. We’ve specialised in transformation, innovation and value creation. Always aiming to secure the best future-ready leaders, not just the available ones.
What our clients still value about us today:
• Quality
• Trust
• Speed
• Entrepreneurship
We always think about both sides. We stay on it until the match is right. We work directly, transparently and to high standards.
I’m proud of what we’ve built. And that we’ve never lost sight of what counts: people who really want to make a difference.
What’s your experience of executive search, as a client or as a candidate?
