German Private Equity Fund focused on Advanced Manufacturing / Industrial Goods
Our client
Our client is an entrepreneurial, Munich-based private equity fund focused on investments in advanced manufacturing and industrial technology businesses in the DACH region. For a growing portfolio of recently acquired companies in advanced manufacturing and aerospace, they are looking to hire a Director / Manager Value Creation (m/f/d) who will work hands-on within portfolio companies, typically with a strong focus on one core asset at a time, acting as a partner on the ground and supporting portfolio company CEOs as well as the PE-fund’s Operating Partners across all aspects of the transformation process, including financial, commercial, operational and organizational improvements.
Over time, the role is designed to evolve into a senior leadership position, with the opportunity to take on CEO responsibility and participate as a co-investor with meaningful equity upside.
Your tasks
- Cross-functional value creation and transformation projects in advanced manufacturing environments, e.g.
- Lean manufacturing / production and supply chain optimization
- End-to-end transformation initiatives (scaling, building structures, process professionalization)
- Financial steering and setup of performance management systems (P&L, cash flow, reporting, KPIs)
- Mid-term career perspective: to grow into a broader leadership role within the portfolio, with the opportunity to take on CEO responsibility in a portfolio company
Your profile
- 4–7 years of professional experience in top-tier consulting plus operational experience in a corporate environment or private equity
- Track record in transformation, performance improvement or value creation projects
- Exposure to advanced manufacturing, industrial tech or engineering-driven environments
- Entrepreneurial personality with a hands-on, execution-oriented “Mittelstand” mindset
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and management teams
- Strong analytical skills combined with solid financial literacy (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)
- Willingness to travel 3-4 days per week and work on-site at portfolio companies
- Excellent German (native level) and English language skills
