Our client
On behalf of our client — a company with a clearly defined innovation and technology agenda — we are seeking an experienced individual for the staff function of Senior Advisor (m/f/d), reporting directly to the Chief Digital & AI Officer (CDAIO).
In this staff function, you act as the central interface between technology, strategy, and executive leadership. You are responsible for leading industry consortia — including a quantum computing consortium requiring deep technical understanding — driving the company’s technological advancement, preparing strategic reports for the Board and Supervisory Board, and overseeing Horizon 2 research projects.
Your tasks
- Leading and managing industry consortia and strategic technology partnerships, including in the field of quantum computing
- Responsibility for advancing future-oriented technology topics on behalf of the Chief Digital & AI Officer
- Preparing and presenting strategic reports and decision papers for the Board and Supervisory Board
- Substantive oversight and management of Horizon 2 research projects
- Close, ongoing collaboration with the Board and senior leadership on innovation and technology topics
Your profile
- A completed degree in a scientific field (e.g., physics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science) is a mandatory requirement, along with demonstrated experience in AI, analytics, and data science
- Experience in quantum computing is an advantage, given the responsibility for the corresponding industry consortium
- Fluent German and English language skills
On this basis, two search directions are conceivable:
Search Direction 1 – Background in Strategy Consulting
- Min. 5+ years of professional experience at a Tier-1 strategy consulting firm
- Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic issues at Board level with a clear focus on data analytics / data science / AI
Search Direction 2 – Academic-Innovative
- Academic background with relevant publications
- Strong technical depth in physics, statistics, or mathematics
- Experience at the interface of research and business application, ideally with an AI/data science focus
