German Private Equity Fund specialized in Climate and Sustainability
The company
Our client is a young, dynamic and very successful German private equity fund with a focus on Climate solution and Sustainability projects. For their portfolio management team, they are interested to hire Operations Directors (m/f/d) who should either support the CEO in the portfolio firm during the transformation or take on an executive management role in the portfolio company themselves. This can be as a “CEO Buy & Build”.
Your tasks
- Pre-transaction: Participation in the deal process and due diligence, especially on operational, strategic and management matters including development of robust improvement/restructuring concepts and business cases
- Post-transaction: taking on an executive management position in a specific portfolio company either as a wing-man to support the CEO or in an interim executive management position on their own
- Short-term career perspectives: to become a CEO of a future portfolio company
Your profile
- 6-12 years of professional experience from a top tier strategy consulting firm and additional operational experience with P&L responsibility, line management or as General Manager
- Ideally mid-market (German ‘Mittelstand’) exposure or at least “mind-set”
- Outstanding academic credentials and steady & consistent career progression
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at the portfolio companies
- Highly ambitious and motivated
- Hands-on, ‘get-things-done’ type of person
- Excellent German & English language skills
