The company
Our client is a mid-cap, private equity-backed portfolio company in the defense sector with revenues of more than €500 million. As part of an ambitious buy-and-build strategy across Europe, the group is growing both organically and through targeted acquisitions.
They are looking to hire a Director Transformation (m/f/d) who will take ownership of the hands-on implementation of the value creation agenda across key levers including commercial, operations and digitalization. The role offers strong exposure to top management, the opportunity to help shape the future platform in a highly dynamic growth environment, and a clear path towards taking on P&L responsibility for a business unit over time.
Your tasks
- Hands-on implementation of value creation initiatives across commercial, operations and digitalization
- Development and steering of transformation roadmaps including impact tracking and execution
- Identification, quantification and realization of performance improvement opportunities across functions
- Stakeholder management across group leadership, business units and external partners
- Mid-term perspective to evolve into a P&L leadership role with increasing strategic and operational ownership
Your profile
- 5–10 years of experience with a strong track record in transformation / value creation initiatives
- Background in top-tier consulting, private equity or corporate strategy
- Mandatory hands-on operating experience outside consulting in a manufacturing environment
- Mid-sized industrial or private equity experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, execution-oriented project management and confidence with C-level stakeholders
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Excellent German and English language skills
