International Private Equity Mid-Cap Growth Fund

Our client

Our client is a very well established international private equity fund with a strong focus on growth investments in several industries.  In order to strengthen their investment/transaction team they are looking for an Investment Manager (m/f/d).

Your tasks

  • Work independently across the entire transaction lifecycle: from sourcing (via established and new networks and via proprietary situations) to deal-making to refinancing of existing portfolio companies to exit management
  • Steer entire M&A process
  • Portfolio management monitoring 2-3 investments
  • Develop financial models and scenarios as well as LBO models
  • Execute own financial and other due diligences (our client is only making limited use of 3rd party consultants in due diligences)
  • Conclude robust ‘so what’ conclusions from due diligences
  • Optimize balance sheet/refinancings in existing portfolio company and support in add-on acquisitions
  • Develop exit story, monitor relevant markets and prepare the company for a successful exit from a financial perspective

Your qualification

  • 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in M&A advisory / investment banking (Transaction services / financial due diligence; Private equity or similar investment-related fields; Strategy consulting (corporate finance practice))
  • Track record of working with founders and boards, teams of people, hands-on live transactions, business model analysis, and strategic & financial assessments
  • High level of independence, adaptability, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill set
  • Strategic thinker with a value-oriented mindset and critical judgment
  • Team player with a sense of humor and down-to-earth character
  • Mid-market (German ‘Mittelstand’) exposure or at least ‘mind-set’
  • Native German skills, excellent English language skills
